It isn’t a problem to find something wonderful that is allergy friendly or gluten free at the Boulder Teahouse in Boulder, Colorado. The menu is as unique as the building itself. The restaurant was originally built in Tajikistan, then dismantled and sent to Boulder. It is a sight to see for sure.
The food has a lot of Indian, Asian and European influences. There are plenty of great vegan and gluten free options on the menu and our server was happy to help identify others that could be customized. The Pork Belly Fried Rice was layered with flavor and even better than it sounds. It was all prepared perfectly. They customized a Spanish style egg dish for us as well that had a nice kick of heat to it, but it didn’t over power the other flavors. A completely satisfying meal!
We couldn’t resist ordering dessert either. The Vegan Date Walnut Cheesecake and the St. James cake were so delicious that I emailed them requesting the recipes and they were willing to share! So kind and generous of them.
Oh! And of course they have lots of amazing teas… hence the name… Boulder Teahouse! They also have some fantastic brunch cocktails for the desserts… just incase you arrive parched;-)
