Gluten free graham crackers were hard to find when I was first diagnosed with celiac disease. After trying Kinnikinnick’s gluten free graham style crackers, I started buying them on-line by the case so that we always have them on hand. We seem to have a lot of “spur of the moment” S’mores nights. It doesn’t hurt that my husband always wants an excuse to make a fire in the backyard. It’s fully contained in a fire pit, so no need to worry about anything there;-)
Back to Kinnikinnick- they make some really tasty gluten free and allergy friendly graham crackers! So much so, that when I offer them up alongside the wheat variety, everyone goes for the Kinnikinnick. They are thicker & a bit sweeter than the wheat variety and they seem to be just the right size for the marshmallow in your S’mores.
They also sell a box of graham style crumbs that I use for making pie shells. They have a wonderful taste and texture. They don’t get soggy easily when used with pie filling. I have easily substituted the graham style crumbs in all of my old recipes without fail! You can find them in my Spiced Pumpkin Cheesecake recipe too.
The crackers and the crumbs are gluten free, dairy free and nut free.
