If you don't like small pieces of garlic in your sauce, start by blending the olive oil & garlic in a smoothie maker or blender until the garlic is pureed almost smooth. If you don't mind small pieces of garlic, skip this step.
Pull basil leaves off of the stems, throw the stems out and rinse the leaves. Add all ingredients to blender.
Blend or pulse a few times until the herbs are chopped up to the size you like. This usually takes 15-30 seconds. You may need to scrape down the sides to get all of the basil leaves chopped up.
Serve with pasta, meats, vegetables or seafood. Everything tastes better with a little of this on it! Store in a sealed container in the fridge for 2-3 days. It will start to brown as the days go on due to air getting to it. It should remain good to eat for up to a week.
