Gourmet Pizza Company (Tampa, FL)

In my opinion, when it comes to judging gluten free pizza, it comes down to two things.  The crust and the toppings. Gourmet Pizza Company in Tampa, Florida makes my husband’s favorite gluten free crust in town. Don’t get me wrong, I agree that the gluten free pizza crust is very good, but I am most impressed with their inventive specialty pizza toppings. Take the Mellow Yellow for example.  It has a curry infused garlic oil base, capers, garbanzo beans, house cheese blend, sweet red grapes and fresh cauliflower, drizzled with a house made peanut butter sauce.  Tell me where you have seen that before?  I love unique flavor combinations and find it difficult to get that being gluten free.  

Sure!  They also have all of your traditional favorites, like cheese and pepperoni.  No problem there.  And they do a fantastic job with it all.  Their menu is clearly marked with what is gluten free and they are very helpful when you ask questions about what will work for your food allergies. They have meatless and vegan options as well. 

I also love the variety of salad and dessert options.  Let me focus on the desserts since I have a massive sweet tooth;-)  You can order a whole gluten free killer key lime or reese’s peanut butter cup pie, gluten free & dairy free brownies, gluten free and vegan gourmet cookies.  They have a new gluten free flourless chocolate nut cake layered with a Nutella ganache.  OMG!  I need to try this soon.
