Gluten free sushi that is fresh and delicious with some incredibly unique rolls. That's what you will find at Aki Sushi in Oldsmar, Florida. The Catch 13 (no crunch) and the Roman Holiday rolls made gluten free are two of my favorites. When was the last time you had fresh basil, mozzarella and balsamic reduction on your sushi? It is sooo good! The Catch 13 has very thin slices of lemon and jalapeno on top that add just the right amount of citrus and spicy kick. The flavor combinations rock!
Although the menu does not indicate what can be made gluten free, all you have to do is ask. The order will take longer than usual because they take extra precautions if you alert them to your food issues, but it is well worth the wait in my opinion. All of your old favorites can be made as well if you don’t see it on the menu. They take special requests without hesitation. Not just for food allergies, but they'll make up rolls for you with whatever ingredients they have in the kitchen. They are super accommodating. You might not expect such wonderful sushi given the location in one of your generic strip malls, but I promise they don't disappoint. They have gluten free soy sauce available as well.
