There are so many great gluten free and allergy friendly cereals now on the market.  Childhood favorites like Lucky Charms, many Cheerios varieties, most of the Chex flavors, Fruity Pebbles and Cocoa Pebbles are all easy to find.  They have made minor changes to their recipes and all taste as good as I remember them to be.

I prefer the ingredient lists more on the Mom’s Best and Envirokidz brands cereals. They all taste great too!  One of my favorites is the Leapin’ Lemurs by Envirokidz.  It is a mix of chocolate and peanut butter puffs.  Many of Envirokidz products are vegan as well.

Mom’s Best gluten free crispy cocoa rice is fantastic sprinkled on ice cream or just as a bowl of cereal.  It is my dessert some nights;-)  Most of the Mom’s Best brand cereals are good for many allergens but most do have gluten, so be sure to check the labels carefully.

If you are struggling to find gluten free crisped rice cereal, try Erewhon Crispy brown rice cereal.  I think it is closest to the old school cereal you may have grown up with. You can even hear the snap, crackle and pop!  It works perfectly for making marshmallow treats too!  I use it in the topping for my Green Bean Casserole for Thanksgiving too!

My 9 to 5… I am a meteorologist for the ABC station in Tampa. When I am at home, I spend a lot of time cooking and baking... always gluten free. Most of my recipes are allergy friendly and many are AIP, Vegan, Paleo and Keto friendly. From my kitchen to yours... cheers to eating great no matter what we must go without!
