Cinnamon Kitchen (Oxford, UK)

Whether you are vegan, vegetarian, dairy free, nut free or gluten free ordering is easy at Cinnamon Kitchen in Oxford, UK.  I know, because we had a mix of gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, meat and gluten eaters at our table!  Even with all of those differences, we all really enjoyed the meal and were able to share many of the dishes. Hard to believe, right?  Part of what made it so easy is that the menu is very clearly marked with allergens.  Our server also helped me choose safe items and understood cross contamination concerns.

So how is the food? Incredible!!! They say that they serve modern Indian Cuisine with some British influences. I would just call it fabulous Indian Cuisine. Oh my goodness!  What a memorable meal.  We had the trio of Dal, the Aubergine with sesame, tamarind and peanut crumble, along with an assortment of entrees that were all layered with intense Indian spices and flavor.  We had chicken, seafood and vegetables that were all perfectly cooked and seasoned.  Each plate was presented beautifully and tasted as incredible as it looked.  We managed to wipe every plate clean and mop up the sauces with perfectly cooked rice (no gluten free naan, but I didn’t miss it).  The cocktails and wine are also fantastic, I can’t forget to mention that!

Cinnamon Kitchen has locations in Oxford, London and at the Battersea Power Station.  The Oxford location is in the Westgate Center, so you can walk off your delicious meal by checking out the neat shops and fantastic views of the town.  Or pop into one of the chic bars or other restaurants for a nightcap.
