France New York Restaurants

NOGLU (Paris, France)

NOGLU is an entirely gluten free restaurant in Paris, France!  This restaurant is wonderful in its own right.  The fact that it is an entirely gluten free restaurant and is this fantastic speaks volumes for the chef’s skills.  And guess what?  If you can’t make it to Paris to check them out, they also have a bakery and restaurant in New York City!  Okay, if you don’t live near NYC it still may be a trek… but still easier than flying across the Atlantic for dinner:-)  The NYC bakery sells gluten free and dairy free baguettes and bread too!  Another score for the food allergy team;-)

My experience at NOGLU was at their restaurant in Paris while I was traveling with my family.  We ordered the vegetarian lasagne, cheese burger with fries and roast duck with mashed sweet potatoes & broccoli. The burger was one if the best we’ve ever had, EVER. It was so fresh & flavorful, cooked perfectly, juicy, yummmm!  The gluten free bun was soft and didn’t crumble.  The duck was also cooked perfectly, crispy skin, tender & juicy inside with just a touch of pink.  A fresh herb sauce drizzled on top played beautifully with the sweet potatoes.

The vegetable lasagne was very flavorful and unique. It had a beurre blanc & herb sauce instead of a tomato sauce which made it extra creamy (right up my alley).  If this got your taste buds screaming for lasagna, try my recipe for Veggie Lasagna.  I use a tomato sauce, not a beurre blanc, but hopefully it will satisfy your craving if you can’t make it to NOGLU anytime soon.

It was a delicious meal in a cozy restaurant with wonderful, quick service.  The staff was very helpful answering our questions as well.

My 9 to 5… I am a meteorologist for the ABC station in Tampa. When I am at home, I spend a lot of time cooking and baking... always gluten free. Most of my recipes are allergy friendly and many are AIP, Vegan, Paleo and Keto friendly. From my kitchen to yours... cheers to eating great no matter what we must go without!
