Gluten Free Grown Up Party Mix is an updated twist on the old school classic. Feel free to mix up the quantities of the Chex and Cheerios cereals and other snacks. Just keep the total amount of ingredients the same. This is an extremely forgiving recipe.
My family happens to love truffle salt on just about everything, so we tried it here as well and loved it. You can substitute another salt to fit your taste buds without any trouble!
As for food allergies, feel free to sub the nuts for more cereal or pretzels. Need it to be dairy free? Just omit the cheese and check the ingredients on your snack items to be sure they don't contain dairy. Easy peasy!
If this has got you thinking of things to do with cereal... check out my Gluten Free and Dairy Free Puppy Chow. That will cure a sweet tooth too!
Ingredients
- 6 tablespoon melted butter or olive oil
- 2 tablespoon gluten free Worcestershire Sauce - I use Lea & Perrins
- 6 cups gluten free Chex cereal
- 2 cups gluten free Cheerios
- 1 cup gluten free Snyder's Pretzels
- 1 cup gluten free tortilla chips
- 1 cup roasted mixed nuts
- 1 teaspoon truffle salt - sub sea salt if you prefer
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese - omit if you need dairy free
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy clean up.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter or oil and Worcestershire Sauce.
- In a very large bowl, combine all of the remaining ingredients.
- Gradually pour the butter/oil mixture over the dry ingredients while stirring, to coat all of the mixture evenly. Pour the mixture onto the baking sheet in an even layer.
- Bake for 7-10 minutes until lightly browned and warmed through. Remove from oven and let cool on the baking sheet. Once completely cooled, it is ready to eat!
- Store in a sealed container and eat within 2-3 days.
