Roasted Green Beans make the vegetable side dish truly enjoyable! The bread crumbs and parmesan cheese that become crispy bits sticking to the Roasted Green Beans add a little crunch and a ton of flavor. When these first come out of the oven, my family attacks the tray. You'd swear I never feed them! It is such a compliment to what I've made that I don't have the heart to shoo them away. What crazy mom would keep their family from eating more green beans??? Not this one!
Easy Peasy to Make
Roasting is one of my favorite ways to prepare vegetables and starches. It brings out the flavor of whatever you are roasting without drowning it in sauce (aka extra calories). It also requires very little attention. Just toss it with oil, seasonings and spices, pop it in the oven and try not to burn it! Lol! As long as I set a timer, I usually don't burn it and I have time to get the rest of the meal together. These Roasted Green Beans are surprisingly flavorful given how simple they are to make. Unless I have extra time to make breadcrumbs myself, I use gluten free pre-seasoned bread crumbs from 4C.

Roasted Green Beans
Ingredients
- 1 lb fresh green beans - washed & trimmed
- 1 Tbsp olive oil - or any oil you want to use
- 2 tablespoon Italian style gluten free bread crumbs
- 2 tablespoon grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- salt & pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
- In a large bowl add your green beans and toss with oil until well coated. Sprinkle and toss all remaining ingredients until well coated (adjust the amount of seasonings to your taste).
- Spread your green beans onto a parchment lined baking sheet in a single layer. Roast for about 10 minutes if you still want them to retain their color. You can leave them in longer if you want them browned more. Serve them up quickly! I dip mine in mayo, but they are fantastic picked right off the tray from the oven! That’s how we eat them at my house;-)
